Here is said “crappy shot”.  Photos are great for freeing up brain power for other things, especially when you note your associated thoughts. While I don’t have some major following on any of my social media profiles to sway or impress I’m feeling especially self-conscious about making this shot public on Flickr to share these things exist and what I thought of them.

(They’re decent enough I could see myself buying a box if I was craving coconut.)

I usually go to O'Niell’s on New Year’s Eve because they have a champagne toast at 5p since that’s midnight in Dublin and I don’t have to even try to stay up til midnight MST.  However, it’s gotten busier & busier.  This year I walked in one minute til and they were full & had already handed out the champagne.  So I walked back out the door.

Thankfully Kasey’s is just down the street and I remembered that they had posted on Facebook they were going to do a prix fixe dinner that included some bubbly.  So there I went and thankfully they weren’t full as well.  Asked about the prix fixe and was told they weren’t doing it because the one they tried for Christmas eve didn’t hit it off.  Internally sighed and looked at the alcohol menu.  Saw they had Not Your Father’s Root Beer which I just love.  That definitely cheered me up.  At least I know I’ll enjoy this drink to the last drop, which is rarely true for bubbly.

Time to hear the specials and they had two, pork medallion & lamb chops.  I went with the lamb chops which were on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes and zucchini.  Then I found out the specials came with a glass of bubbly and it was good to the last drop.  Happy New Year after all!
